P sport hydro setups..hulls and motors...need help
Hey everyone, Im looking to get into P sport hydro. I knew to this category . what hull and motor size suggestions. any suggestions? i know everyone has person preferences but i need ideas!! thank you in advance!
The Black Pearl, Blazer Backlash, and the ML Boatworks GSX 33" are all great 4S hulls. The Tenshock 2440 at 2680 KV with an ABC 1715 prop and an SMC SRD-V3 6200 battery should be a good starting point. Run either 1-4S or 2-2S packs depending on what fits.
ELECTRIFIED!!!!! The Whiplash P Sport 34" is completely new from the ground up. We literally started from scratch on this one, using state of the art modeling practices to design a boat that is extremely fast, stable and.....just bad ass! This is our first official entry into the electric world, but our designs have be
Have you learned anything about the Phil Thomas hydros because I'm really looking into one as well
still looking but was told the blaze boat some of the framework is bult under tension. MLboatworks uses precision laser cutting to do the work so everything is spot on(was told), newtons(not sure the vender) plans are hand drawn and leave you on your own with some detail. all of this was from a comment in a club from someone who i feel has a ton of experience in this.
i like the all glass design by phil its more modern design and materials, don't get me wrong nothing wrong with wood boats, but composites have come a long ways. if he offered them in carbon i would be all over it!
I agree!!! I've raced apba hydro and sst45 tunnels.. composite wood builds always have there pro n cons! I'm soo torn between boats. I'm working on cheetah catamaran right now and my rigger esc is having programming problems ! Yay me!

Pretty much all wood kits are cut on lasers. Newton plans that you would hand cut are scale hydros. We are talking about sport hydros. Kinda of a big difference. sport hydros are not replicas but RC specific racing hulls.

Phils boats are nice boats. Wood boats are the tip top best you are going to get.
