The spec I gave them was of a heavy hull and they gave me this as a suggestion. I have to use it once so I have documentation for the exam board that it actually runs, then I can use a bought hull.

So does anyone know what I can run it on? I already have the motor and ESC.

Bump: Would appear I got the measurements tangled; it is 34" not 39".

          Bump, again.

I've received all my parts. Just need the motor coupler and that should be all minus the batteries. The actual hull is nearly finished too.

How do you put a flat spot on the motor shaft? I'm guessing at a file when held by a clamp, but am not sure.

I'll have some more questions about getting the drive line setup soon, but at the moment its all still in it's packaging.

A cutoff wheel in a Dremel works better. Put a sheet of plastic around the motor to keep the metal from getting inside.

It doesn't take much to make a good flat. Don't do too much! You shouldn't need a clamp, either.

Ok, that was because I was worried about was the shaft spinning whilst I was making the flat point.

Should I need to cut the cable down, do I solder the cut end so that it will not unwrap when I run it?

I used to run cables until I upgraded to piano wire, so I'm a little foggy, but I think I used to solder them. It makes sense.
