    Delta force mono speeds

I am just curious as to how fast people have had their delta force monos. I have had great luck with mine, currently building a MK2 with neu 2215 power.

76mph on N2 and 80mph on P with the 26" version. Q mono has run close to 90mph according to the GPS.

Holy smokes! Hats off to you Tyler that’s insane. I got my 29 to 77mph the other day and I thought that was pretty crazy, And to go even faster with the 26 is incredible. What size was the Q boat?

I've only gotten my mini sniper (24") up to 45 on 3s. What setup you running to get over 70?

I've got a 2860 SSS 3000kv motor and 90amp flycolor ESC with 34mm aluminum prop, 3s2p 2200mah turnigy batteries. and .13 flex shaft. I'd love to get more speed.

Nice! I’d love to have your boat, I have been waiting for a mini sniper to go back in stock on OSE. 45 is already pretty good speed for that small boat. My boat is a 29” hull and I am running a leopard 4074 2000kv on 6s spinning a 1716 prop. I would play with different props on your setup to get a little more speed.

I've tried different props, the 34 works without any issues, I've tried up to 40mm and it draws to much amperage, causes lvc to kick in. Think I would need a motor with higher torque to turn a bigger prop. Was thinking of switching to a 2860 leopard 3200kv, not sure that would be much faster though. Higher quality motor might turn a bigger prop though.

You guys want to take a look at the budget Goolrc / Rocket 2968 - 3400kv motor, for a budget motor these are very powerfull motors indeed at great prices.

Telling us the prop diameter doesn?t really tell us much useful information. We need the pitch and the overall prop design along with the exact battery specs to recommend something which may increase your speed. Actually for a 35x49mm prop, mid-40s isn?t bad at all. Your fuse is the ESC, to go much faster you need to upgrade. But, as you pull more amps the battery may begin to be a limiting factor as well as the motor. Tyler didn?t get those speeds with an economy motor - I was there when he set one if those records (maybe more but can?t remember).

CNC 3414 Magnalium 7075 propeller. 1.88" total pitch. Batteries are 2200kv 100c turnigy 3s two in parallel.

                          I run a Leo 2860 - 2550kv- on 4S 4500mah and a D/T 435/3 DF 23 Sniper. I have built a couple and wish I never sold the red one...

Jay you have a good memory. Yes I was running high end Lehner motors, but it was the ESC that helped make those speeds possible especially with the N2 setup which was around 500A. I was running a 38mm prop for the 76mph N2 record and 40mm prop for the P record. The N2 boat ran 2S2P while the P used the same cells just wired in series to make a 4S1P. The N2 was running pretty high KV, but the P was only running 2500kv. It was the fact that that the hull as perfectly balanced and rode on the last 1/2" of the keel. I have tried to repeat those runs a number of times with no luck.

Yeah I don't have the money for high end stuff, I've got too many irons in the fire with Rc boats and rc cars, I like playing around with budget items and trying to maximize. Once the kids move out in 10 years or so (hopefully) maybe I can actually put some money into this stuff. (Not that I don't already).
