    Neu 2215 1Y....what to build

    Hi,
I have been out of the hobby for a few years. But I recently dusted off a boat and took it out...I've got the itch again!
I've built a fair amount of boats in the past, started off small and worked my way up over the years. I have built a Titan 29, Mean Machine, Delta 29, Rico Racing 29, Delta 33, Insane fe30, Aeromarine Sprint Cat, Aeromarine Avenger, etc.
Anyway, I have a 4s mono that I've been taking out. But want to build another boat, a larger mono or cat.
I have a Neu 2215 1Y (1440kv) brand new in box just sitting on my workbench asking to be put to good use.

What would you build with this motor?
I have plenty of 4s and 6s packs, it would be nice to work around that also.

Like I said, been out of the game for awhile....looking for hull/setup recommendations
    Thanks!

That would sit nice in a Lazer 40 on 6-8 S
I ordered the one with the open cockpit.
Wayne is kinda backed up, but top quality boats and customer service.

Whiplash Q sport Hydro on 6S. Could also be a nice Q mono motor in a DF39".

I looked at the Lazer 40, seems like a good stable rough water boat.
My df33 was one of my favorite hulls! It would be fun to do a longer version of that setup. The DF 45 MK-II is 38.5"....it should be right in the sweet spot for that motor on 6s?
Which esc to pair with it?

Look no further than the Castle XLX2 for the 2215.

Thoughts on Seaducer hulls? An SD4 39" would be good for this motor.
Back in the day, they were tough to set up and get running right.....but the ones that were, ran great.
            Is this still the case?

Yes a Seaducer would also run well. Jerry is producing a FE version with a different top design making the lid easier to tape.

I have a 1y in my aeromarine avenger 36 with a modded castle xlx. On 6s2p it runs 63mph on a 452/2 prop in oval trim, still doing some fine tuning but it’s a great boat. Just another option for you, although I lighter boat might be better, this setup does pull some amps.

Also just to add about the DF MKII, I’m currently building one with a 1.5y that will be on 10s. The hull is great size for the 2215 and I am excited to see how it does.

                    Thank you for the info!
The DF MKII is my first choice, but getting a hull seems near impossible right now. My df33 was my best running and favorite boat to drive, so building a longer version would be great!
I started looking at the seaducer and the Lazer as alternatives.
I had an aeromarine 36" sprint cat and aeromarine 43" conquest.
Never built a big mono, thought it would be fun!
