This will be my first attempt with wood veneer so any input or experience is more than welcomed.
The steps I?ve planned out unless anyone has different suggestions:
1) West systems slow-cure thinned for sealing the birch.
2) While wet, lay down veneer on birch skins, clamp, let dry.
3) Then seal veneer, let dry.
4) Shape skins, clamp to sponsons, trim veneer and birch skins.
Does this sound right? Should I build the boat then add the veneer then seal?
The veneer is rainbow poplar. It?ll get sealed, then 4-5 cotes of clear.
