Is there anyway to fuse the ESC or motor to prevent it from burning up.

Yes but better is to stay within the rated specifications of the equipment or are you repairing a drive?

Seaweed got wrapped around prop and must have overloaded. I thought the battery was depleted but it wasn?t.

Did it burn up the controller? U say Seaweed if this means you run in salt be sure to flush the cooling system with freash water afterwards. U can use W ater D ryer 40 to remove all the moisture when you are done flushing the system.

You can get cap banks to help with ripple current. Steve sells them.
