The best setup would have the cells in parallel / series.

In other words, a 2S2P would have two cells in parallel and this in series with another. Thunder power has some packs like this and they are the best there are, period. Saehan makes these cells and they are the best in the world. Not my words, words from someone that tests for NASA. He has the first packs that Thunder Power ever tested and they are still going. He also never have to balance them at all, they stay in ballance. Yes, they put enerland to shame when it comes to cycle life. However, they are the prolites and not 30C. That new 2600 packs they have is a recent addition.

For what it's worth, I know that someone will not believe it.

Here is a link to the line, I am sure RCLIPOS has them as well. This was an easy list of them

Steve I was hopeing you popped in. Did you look at the trinity link I posted... You think these Intellect packs could be 2s2p... Its tough to really know there is not much info on them anyplace but it does say 2s2p so did the Ebay sight from Hong Kong where I ordered them. Maybe there good.

          Nope

No, two cells should be in parallel and these are in series.....if they are not, I would not buy them.

            Well.....

It all depends on what you want.....

You can take a chance on things, like $50 ESC's and BL motors and some work fine for some applications, it's the same with LiPos. Myself, Trinity is the closest company to burning hell that I have ever dealth with, they have called saying they were going to sue me back in the green meanie days.

I would buy Enerland, Polyquest, Poly RC, Steve Neu or in my opinon, the best is Thunder Power Lites.

Flight Power is good, but they lie like dogs saying that have matched cells.....they can call and want to sue as well. hear that Don?

Anything is else is a toss up. Max Amps and Cheap Packs go out and get some low cost China stuff that may test out good for a batch or two and than you get the junk and never know it. I have been through the same process with NIMH packs and cells. It's all about the money to some, I hated selling junk, that was never my market.

let me add that Cheap also sells the good LiPoly packs!

            my 2 cents.

Trinity was the only place I found the info, I didnt get them from there. Its not like I was cheaping out I just wanted to try them and now finding out or seeing the 2s2p thing made me question it, I assumed they were 2s1p that is why I asked.

                Preception

No problem...I was not yelling at you or anything....let us know how they work out. I was just telling you that I did not like Trinity. I could type pages on how they use to try and control the entire R/C car world. But I might have to go into some boat people that have done the same

You know Douggie, I actually know very few people as to who is who, you can be the number one racer in the world or the best boat builder around but I just do my thing. I would love to race and if I did I would win, but I just cant get around physically like I used to anymore. I enjoy anything that is a challange. I enjoy doing things that others say wont work and I really dont trust anyones opinion on things. Someone might hate a company and say there product stinks, and for price, well not all high priced things are good and not all low priced things are bad, the thing is to find the Gems. I do things not because someone said dont, I do them when I feel I can. I bought a red toy poodle 6 years ago and everyone said she was not good. I took that dog and bred her up several generations, know I own the number one toy poodle in the country last year in the UKC. His Name is CH. Joey's Edison The Trixter. If I listened to some of the naysayers I would have sold my first red girl, but I saw something in her and 6 years later have a whole lot of people eating there words. (-:

I simply bought the Intellect Lipo's because I like the 3600's they had. Total reason.

Well, now I have set you up with something to prove! Go for it and may it work out good for you.

Since I have tested batteries for years and know how things work with China, you may get good ones and you might get bad ones. You know darn well how the IB3600 cells were, some of these were great and than they changed and they soft shorted.

Steve your the man I look up to for batteries. I saw your packs. I felt your passion. No one builds packs like that.

I am not trying to prove a pack good or bad, just gave Intellect Lipo's a shot and at 56 bucks if they stink I will sell them for 46 on ebay hehehe I already have good ones...and you pointed me to them!

Anyone knows what happens if a cell goes up in smoke inside a hard case? Anyone seen it yet? I wonder, surely they have tested this.

Don't think I am not behind you guys, I want to run a small hydro with a $25 BL and ESC outrunner motor and 700mah cheapo pack.
It's just when you get into the 5,000mah stuff, not sure I would take the chance unless I am running something really mild like a 700 type setup
