    Refuse the box exists!

Where can I find this turn fin?

Does anyone know where can I find this turn fin? Design features desired: extreme swept back design and hooked (but not outrageous)

    Jap21-black-yellow.jpg

Or is someone interested in making one or two for me? (I'd make myself, but don't have the time or space while I'm rebuilding my Truck motor)

    Thanks.

This is it That is why I included my preference for design features desired.

Hey, what boat is that? I just posted a new thread about the same type of thing (Rigger Turn Fin) I can take a picture of the one I am looking for and post it. Maybe that will help you out too... I already have an Avenger Fin and Prather Spitfire Fin and need something like it for the Mongoose that I am building.

Get some aluminum at Orchard Supply ...aluminum stock at the rear of the store for sliding doors etc...good tin snips,a hammer to flatten the edges after being cut,a file to dress/sharpen the edges and a drill for the bolt holes should get you to where you need.
            Good Luck

              Hey ghostofpf1!

Well,...I'm gonna have to say that Orchard Supply sounds like a great idea (for materials) and so does the hammer pounding idea, but I don't think aluminum is going to be a great idea for a turn fin...if you said stainless steel, I would say that you have a plan there.

I could make one for you. you can give some sort of dims for your turn fin and the angle you want it bent. Any preference as far a material goes? I have access to 0.040 and all they way up to .250" 2024/7075/6061? LMK

I missed some of these posts previously. I can get you dimensions and general layout. How much do you figure (round number) for two of them (different angles of leading edge)?

                    Meniscus,

sorry, I had lost track of this thread. I couldn't remember where it was or what forum. Just pay for the shipping. And No charge for the work.

Very cool! Let me see what kind of dimensions I can put together, in a way that makes sense to others. LOL.

Is there something I can do for you in return?

Nothing in return required! Just helping out another FE boater with what I can assist on.

Cool! I'll get dimensions together. I have to make sure the scale is right for my application.
