Looking forward to this one, I've never thought of running a lower KV like this for Q

It does work. lower kv equals more prop and pitch as opposed to higher kv,s that require smaller props .

            never said it didn't
lower KV takes a bigger wheel

I'm setting my P Hydro up with a much lover kv than I thought I would ever race with running a very big prop with help from Darin
as opposed to my picture (upper left)running high KV that got me 1st

I’ve been running mine with 1527 1y (1250kv) with a x452. Temps are around 110 after a mill. I was using single 6s 5000mah 60/120c. Started ever so slightly puffing cells. Went to graphene 6000mah and I’m good. Trying x455 this weekend. With the 5000 mah I was right at 65 mph. Dropped the strut a little and put 6000 mah in and was just over 70mph 3-6” of chop, it was hard to hold on to. 5328 watts on that run. Gonna try x455 and x648 this weekend. Maybe parallel 2 5000mah and see if it picks up more from less voltage drop.

the 648 might be abit small as opposed to the 455.

I’ll start with 648 then 652. Not trying to cook it

I am also setting up a new 6s sport hydro with a 1250 kv motor, props to test will go from x450 / x452 / x455. a club mate has the same set up and he runs a prather 245, all is cool after a race .

Ya, that’s what I did. Started with x448. It ran hotter than 450. Think over revving maybe sending voltage back to speed control. I’ve read that Prather 245 is good but I have 0 experience with them so, I stay with octura. The x452 works good and isn’t cooking stuff. Sharpened and balanced is all I did to it.

you might end up using the x455 like me.
