I spoke to Chris a few times looking for a hull that his site says "in stock" (even for the color I want) He told me that the color I wanted is NOT, and not to send payment till one arrives. I keep calling, and he still doesn't have them. He put me in contact with his source, and I'm finally getting one.
Chris Fine is a good guy in my opinion. Just get him on the phone, or talk to him directly. communications via email and through the website seem to be where the problems are."A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

Danny, you are correct. Chris is very personnable on the phone. The problem, as you have stated is, his site is not current with stock. If you can get him on the phone, he is responsive to a degree. Emails forget it. He has a lot to learn from the manner that OSE provides service. Also, I have purchased from MHZ...so..so..service, but a great product!

When I started reading this thread, I figured it was only a matter if time before Chris's name was going to come up. It only took about 15 posts. All my dealing with him have been within the past year. I have emailed him about a half dozen times and he has always repsonded within a few days. When I ordered a Mean Machine hull recently because OSE was out of stock, I asked if he could take the time to send the cleanest hull he had because sometimes the gelcoat work on Aeromarine hulls is less than perfect. He called me, verified I wanted an electric layup and ended up sending me the hull he had sitting in the showroom. It had battery trays and the cooling thru hull fittings already installed. And he didnt charge me a dime extra. He might not be perfect, but he isnt all that bad either.

Here’s a little update on my dealings with MHZ: I have defended these guys in the past, as they have always followed-through with my requests. Lately though, I have made phone calls and sent emails with “code” in the subject line and now I am seeing the same lack of response that Bonewar describes.
My opinion of MHZ may be need to be revised if this continues. Come on guys, take care of your customers, and they will take care of you; give your customers the Ol’ Shuck-N-Jive, and you won’t have many customers left.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolvesComment

What do you know! I just received a fast email response from MHZ. It included a copy of an earlier response that I did not receive. My spam filter may have eaten the earlier response and not told me.
I will continue to support MHZ, they have always been fair with me. I understand they are often at the whims of the manufacturer, the shippper, the Customs Agency, and a host of other bureaucratic difficulties.
Besides, every hull I have ever bought from them has been great! Light weight, strong joints, straight, true edges, and great handling.
I still give MHZ two props up.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolvesComment

I suppose we all make mistakes at times. I imagine with the economy drop in the last year places like them with high end hobby items may have slowed causing less traffic and owners to concentrate on finding money elsewhere. My point being maybe they have started concentrating on something else at times and are unable to answer emails 24-7 and stand-by the phones either. They sure do have some saweet hardware though. I couldn't imagine having the chance to order a hull from them. Just isn't in the cards at this point.Comment

Doc Jet,
I have to agree with you in this matter. They do have great stuff... a bit on the expensive side (not so much for micro stuff), I had posted earlier in this thread that they messed up with me... BUT, in their defense, they have emailed back me every time I emailed them (to my recollection), but I never got the boat I wanted... when I emailed them to refund me, my refund was almost immediately, I had a response stating that I had a full refund within 2 hours, no excuses. That says something about work ethics in my book (I had waited long enough though). One day I may try again... not sure yet.:::::::::::::::. It's NEVER fast enough! .:::::::::::::::Comment

Here’s a little update on my dealings with MHZ. I’ve been trying to get more of the 2.3 mm flex cable used in their micro. This stuff is made in Switzerland by reclusive trolls. They only make cables on the second full moon in a month (that would be a “Blue Moon” for those of you in Rio Linda). Needless to say, they are hard to get (and not cheap either), but I have some coming.
Loo and the people went out of their way to locate these cables made from Unobtanium, and get them shipped to me.
Again, I give them two props up.
