Hey guys
Earlier today, a good friend of mine had a Dynamite 45A brushless ESC melt down in a rather smoky mess in his Shockwave 26 BL V3. Note this is the previous release of this boat. This is not the current green version. The only upgrade this boat has is the 2000kv motor from the current Shockwave 26/Blackjack 24. The prop used is the stainless steel version of the stock prop.
The water cooling was working properly and was not clogged.
This is my very first experience with the "magic smoke" and trying to clean up the aftermath. Man, that stuff is smelly AND messy.
Luckily there is no damage to the hull other than the smell of course and the brown crud that is stained all over everything. I would like to know the best way to clean this crap out.
I tested the motor and the motor appears to still be good so I think a new ESC should get him up and running again.
