I heard back from Liqui Moly. It seems this stuff is not available in the us yet. This is what Scott said: Unfortunately the LIQUI MOLY Marine Grease is not available in the US. We plan to begin importing numerous marine products early 2018(may be earlier). Generally AMAZON will have the new items, we'll also be focusing on Marine Retailers.

We sincerely appreciate your support. Hopefully we can meet your needs in the upcoming months.

I ordered the one you were questioning from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Liqui-Moly-20...+marine+grease and am going to give it a test today. Keep in mind it is a pretty small tube ( about as big as a cubby toothpaste tube) and you might want to order a couple. I hope to make it up to your lake soon to do some racing. Hope this helps

      Thanks, rdracer.

BTW - our race lake is in Fruitland Park. Where would you be coming from?

Yup - Follow with a blast from the straw from a can of compressed air to purge all residue.

Be careful with moly lube - it can clump once the solvent evaporates if overlubed

This is a good topic. I'll give my take (although others personal preferences may be equally valid)

In fact here's my previous choice for moly : (available online just about anywhere)

                    NOW :
As far as choice of lube, before even going there I first start off by smoothing the flex :

If a fresh build (or every three or four runs) a Proboat Blue grease enema :

A paper towel to mop up excess :

                    After Race maintenance :
                    pull shaft
wipe & dry with paper towel
                    light coating of Proboat grease
wrap in towel & store in boat - let stuffing tube dry out
add 2 oz. 90 proof White Cream De Cacao to lube mix and consume at Sunset

                      Tony,

Thanks but you lost me on the secret sauce. When do you apply that, compared to using Proboat blue grease?

I'll unwrap the shaft (previously lightly greased for between race storage) and apply the mix just before re-inserting the shaft in the boat for the day's running. Sometimes (probably out of superstition or nervousness or something) I'll re apply after two of four heats. During SAW time trials if I'm close to a record (we time to one thousandths of a second) I may lube before each trial.
