That CG is the same as mine.
That hull does sit low in the water and the straight line performance was much better when I used 2 packs of batteries to balance the hull

      batterys

I might try 2 3cell nimh packs this weekend and see what happens with the cg right on the money and lighter packs.

Most of my running with that hull was at SAWs when only NiMH cells were legal. I used 6x4200 and 6x4500 cells IIRC. I also ran a full si9zed Neu 1506 in it. I offset the weight slightly to the left, but when up to speed the boat tracked straight and level. I didn't run much with LiPos. It is tough to see the strut setting, angle and depth in the photos. With the x632 prop the strut bottom should be 1/8" above the sponsons and dead flat. I had this boat set up with an offset rudder, the in-line rudder is probably making the roll to the right more pronounced. With so much on the boat changed from the way I had it, this is tough to diagnose.

          not my pics

The pics in the thread are not mine. I will post mine in a minute but it is set up the way you had it with the offset rudder just changed to a swedge style with pick up in it from fullers and it's at 1/8 and flat just like your instructions. Power is a 36 40 ammo 3900 and a x power 100 and the power seems great.Pics coming.

Okay, that looks a lot more like the boat I sold. Your biggest problem is probably that big new rudder. As you run the cat, the thick blade boss above the tapered portion is dragging in the water, pulling the right side down and probably taking a lot of left trim to run straight. Put the thin blade rudder back on and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then rig up a different water pickup. If it does not, let us know and we'll try something else.

Here is how mine looked sitting in the water RTR:

              Great paint job BTW.

                rudder

Thanx and I will do just that. Put on the smaller rudder and try 6 nimh cells this weekend. I will try it with out water cooling and just check the heat alot. I'm also going top order some 2000mah 2s 25c lipos to try next which should be around the same weight as a 6 cell. Thanx for the compliment on the paint and after I find the right set up I want to make the inside as dialed as the outside. I will let you know sunday how it goes.
