An X457 will work nicely and an X457/3 even better.

Turnigy Graphene's are good but personally I would go with Revo's for the same price...or even slightly less.

Looking forward to seeing your boat when it's done and ready for water.

So I finally got around to running the Enforcer (it's been almost a year!!!). You can watch the maiden run here or directly below...

Actually I ran it for the first time on Tuesday, 8/29, but that lasted about two minutes until the boat went dead in the water; turns out I only hand-tightened the collet (a long time ago) and when I tried opening it up the shaft spun clear out of the back of the boat (and water started coming in through stuffing tube) - a couple of lessons learned that day.

Anyway, the video above is the true first run that went successfully. The setup: CC 2028 Extreme, SF 240HV, 8s1p 5000mah 40C, 55mm CNC prop, Tactic 6ch Tx/Rx. I went with 8s1p because its what I had laying around. I wanted to wait to see how she runs on 8s before buying more batteries. Because of the chop on the water, I rarely went over half throttle. Run time was almost 5 minutes. Batteries were at ~3.85v/cell when I came in and not warm. The ESC and motor (cooling can) were warm; I did the highly accurate touch test - I didn't have to pull my hand away at all, but I could feel the warmth. Overall I was pretty happy with how it ran and handled the chop. I'll have to wait for calmer waters to open it up and see how she tracks.

I was a little concerned with what seemed like weak water flow on the motor cooling circuit; the ESC circuit seemed fine (nice visible exit stream). I flushed both lines (remember I'm running in saltwater) and the motor circuit flowed well with low pressure from my spigot and some silicon tubing.

So after roughly 15 minutes of setup and 30 minutes of cleanup, I got to run her for roughly five minutes. I think my next step will be to get a couple more 4s packs and go to an 8s2p setup (10,000mah). Problem is, the packs I have (Zippy) are 40C and now they only have 45C (on HobbyKing). I don't want to mix C rating packs, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Oh well, enjoy the video and please post comments on YouTube or here - would love to hear your feedback.
