    on a 1 piece flex shaft the flex saver will work if the flex comes out of coupling & disappears out the back of the boat. What it wont do is save the shaft & prop assembly if the flex snaps beyond the shaft saver.

      Right. For that, he'd need a prop saver.

        I have seen that done before where a bracket hung behind the prop, so that if the prop shaft started to move back the bracket would be against the prop shaft & nut.
