I doubt very much if the back end is to light for it. When you change props in size, pitch or series I have found that strut depth and angle can be adjusted to make them work well on all my hydro,s and riggers.
Just my 1 cents worth.
PS, rudder angle can help alot here too.
Rudder angle cannot be adjusted with this hardware. I believe she will just need some fine tuning. When i would loose step the boat would barely get on plane again. I think the strut needs to be raised and angle adjusted slightly downward. Anyone having experience with these props on hydros please give some insight. Cg is 1.5" rear of the sponsons. She rides rock solid with the x440 and k40 props.

I have used the 937 and the 935 on my Rigger w/ a SAW setup ... but it is not meant to be on any hull for long periods of time... it is a good load on the system and like you saw, it cavitates with heavier hulls/setups and generates much more heat. I would try the M series, with a 440 first and then a bit bigger bigger if the 40mm works on the setup. The detongued 637 is a nice choice as well.
If you really insist in using the 937 then you may have to, like you mentioned, have the strut be as low as possible to level the hull and have a bit of positive angle on the prop. If it still hops then you may have to sit the batteries a bit further back to add a little weight to the rear... that is how a go my hop to stop with higher lift props.
