Installing the water jacket

Ok, so I got a different water jacket for the TP Power motor from OSE and before I make a mistake with installation I need some recomendations on what kind of lubricant to use to slide it on with. I am aware that some oils can damage certain rubber compounds and have no wish to make that mistake.
Light machine oil, Crisco, a good quality olive oil?

I rub a small bit of marine grease on the o-rings and that always seems to work well.

You are correct about some oils damaging silicone o-rings...I use silicone grease for years.

I use silicone oil from my days building shocks for RC cars.

I've never had a problem with 3-in-1 oil.

BTW I found the TP Power water jacket to fussy to deal with so I bought one from OSE and it looks like it will slide on without having to fuss around trying to get the O rings seated.

And, if you plan to leave it on and do not want and chance of leaks then a small ring of silicone around it and the motor works well...Just what I do....easy to cut off with a razor.

Sounds like a good idea. Thanks. I've got some Permatex black silicone adhesive/sealant that should fit the bill.
