    Reliable boat for anyone.

I will be working with my local counties parks dept on sanctioning running rc boats at one of the lakes that has a geese problem. They asked me to help detour the geese by running there. They also want to buy a rtr boat of their own to run during the week to help with this. I'm looking for suggestions on a good rtr they can buy and run with no experience that's reliable.

If this picks up they said they would be happy to start holding races also.

What's a good rtr self righting boat I should be looking at for them to have?

Also I need a boat for myself. I hate to go rtr but I don't have time to build one being they need this to start immediately. Is the proboat zelos 36" twin decent for the $? Im a cat lover so no vee for me.

I love my Lucas Oil and Motley Crew cats, VERY reliable, simple to own/operate and always fun.

Wish I was closer that sounds like a neat project and to possibly have races there is great.

Take a look at the Proboat Recoil 26" self righting deep v, this is a very good self righter. This boat will also physically take up to a 5000mah battery, so would provide a very very long run time over using the standard size battery. The boat comes with a charger + a 3200mah 3s lipo.

It's better than decent for the money. Easy high 60's to 70mph with just a prop sharpen and balance. Very very stable boat. Much better built than any other rtr I've seen.

The Zonda is like my Fantasm and a real nice hull. It would be good for you but for parks board go for a Vee. Less chance of blow overs and flips. The Revolt is a great little boat. Get them setup with a couple 2s 6000mah batteries and they should have a decent runtime without being too heavy.

I like the carbon Zonda myself but in stock form it's flimsy and I don't like the cheapie hardware. The zelos hull is considerably stronger and I prefer the layout of the zelos, it also comes with an awesome push/pull scale rudder that is not expected on an rtr, it has no slack but the Zonda rudder has slack. The drives are much higher quality and stronger than the rtr Zonda....You get way more for your money with the zelos. $650 from ose with free shipping vs $800 for the Zonda. You could take the $$ saved and buy a pair of motors or some props for the zelos and easily top 80 and the hull is plenty strong to hold up. I've flipped mine at 70+ several times and it's not skipping a beat. If you see not in person your going to wonder how proboat pulled it off at this price point.

O and I just checked. 5 zelos in stock, no zondas in stock. Even without that factor it's still a no brainer to me.

I seen geese move/skip across the water without taking flight at a pretty good rate of speed in attack mode, so you might want something with speed to both scare, and escape.
