Im worried I mounted the motors too far forward. I placed them just behind the cg along with the ESC's. I guess I won't know till I run it. I still have enough room to possibly place the battery's in the rear behind the motors, although that really funky. Or one in front one in the rear but I don't know about running battery lead extensions. I wouldn't think that's would be good for power transfer?

Soo I had to get creative to correct the CG IN order to achieve 34%cg I went with panel bonding my battery trays to the inner wall on the outside of the rails(pictures to follow) this allowed me to place a 6s pack in front of the motor and a 6s pack behind the motor. on the positive side this is going to make putting the packs in a breeze. Ill fill the gap with noodles anyway which will provide the pack with support from below. Thought I had everything all figured out but this goes to show until the interior layout is all placed in the boat its probably a good idea not to panel bond anything down.

Boat will hit the water tomorrow. going to start out on 6s on each side and if all goes well then jump to 12s on each side.

Well had a faulty esc on the left side. New one on the way. I had paired a old esc and a new one together and the old one gave out. Flier's customer service on the other hand is next to none in my experience. Here are some finished photos of the interior image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Ok ESC's are back in the boat. I can't seem to get a answer from Tp on the motor timing?? Motors are 5860 970kv 6 pole I'm currently running on 3 degrees advance. Any suggestions??

The 5850 in that KV range is a D-Wind according to online specs, did it say anything on the packaging?

Ok soo same motor blew another esc. My right motor has now blown 2 esc. I guess my only option is to send the motor back to TP for testing.. Probably the worst experience building a boat ever!! Feel like giving up on this build. Wish American company's made RC products !!! Sick of sending broken electronics to China
