If it packs 'a ton air' then 34% should be good. Try to have the batteries moveable somewhat so you can change it. And BTW generally the CG is measured from the back of running wetted surface. Just saying because I have made little mistakes in the initial setup in the past. Been able to remedy them but its best not to have to.
Perhaps Hotrod will chime in as he has run this hull and will have a better idea than myself.

Yes 34% is where I would start, and yes measuring from the transom not the over hang.

Thats one massive hull. Is it going to be more of a SAW boat or just fun?

Looks awesome! I do have one concern though, I have messed around with some turbine boats in the past and with similar stuffing tube bend that you have, and the prop shafts would get hot all the time and snap. Have you ever ran into this problem as well? I normally like to make smooth continuous bend and it seems to fix the problem.

I was wondering the same thing. Seems counterproductive in keeping friction down. I also thought the motors were mounted way too far forward.

I've never really given any thought to heat build up in the stuffing tube. The run time on this setup will not be very long soo didn't think hear build up would be a issue. Simple fix though if it does cause a problem

Motors are mounted closer to the cg. Hotrod who is the tester for central RC marine has stated that the bow was lifting in his gas setup. Which is also visible on the videos on YouTube. I'm running two of the largest brushless motors tppower makes on 12s each. I want as much weight over the cg as possible
