    Absolutely, that was my fear when getting one for myself. I am rather clumsy and not a small guy, never been on a kayak ever, the perfect recipe you can say :)

    However, these sit on top recreational kayaks are designed with stability, it took my about 1 minute to get my "sea legs" after trying it out for the first time. You will need to purposely try to flip over to actually flip over on one of these.

    Even though I bought one of these just to recover RC boats, I ended up enjoying it so much that I've started to kayak just because now. Fun and good exercise.
