Not yet, I am planning on getting a brushless motor tester to check all my motors, especially trying to match up my duals better.
However, I'm pretty sure they are just pulling less amps, making less power. Can't think of another reason why they seem less stressful on the 180a ESCs.
I remember throwing away those SSS motors that came with my TFL builds, funny now I'm cheer leading for them. I would say, if you have a boat that is borderline on a 180a, give a similar SSS a try, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Even if they make less power, my GPS hasn't really noticed it. Both my Genesis (73 mph) and Pursuit (67 mph) are running faster and cooler than ever before running those motors. I get longer runs and cooler temps for the same price as a Leopard motor of similar size.
