Oooooohhhhh man! That Zelos looks AWESOME! http://www.horizonhobby.com/zelos-48...--rtr-prb08017 I need to figure out how to justify the $1000. I know that's cheap compared to some of you guys boats....Comment

Interesting that it comes with two props. 55+mph on 8S. I guess maybe they electrified the Rockstar hull?Comment

FINALLY!! :) Do you have any idea how hard it's been to keep my mouth shut?? :)
I have one of the prototypes for it at home. Clear some room... this thing is HUGE!

Here is a comparison of the motor to the Voracity motor, and the P-LTD sized motors:

I drove the converted Rockstar Test Boat that Rafael first put together to prove this concept and it was REALLY fun. Definitely doing all of 56mph on 8S. Handling was great as well.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

OH, and the production hulls are NOT paper thin layups. They are BEEFY! Should stand up to the rigors of running!Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Wow..... That is just awesome. So I guess with the new ProBoat procedure, this should be in stock in a month or month in a half roughly?Comment

Darin, this a really nice deal, you get the hole package for the cost of my 3080/5t !! Another 1500.00 for a G3 cat hull, sch, hardware, prop. Sooooooo you can get two rtr hulls , batteries, charger for the price of my T- Cat..... Jeeez !!!
Granted I have had no issues with my sch and lehener for eight years and they have been dunked and swapped out of hulls. can't beat that quality.
I'm sure some one is going to make a twin out of it and be the first over 100mph..... who cares !!
Justification...... 2 4 1 with batteries and charger for the price of a top of the line T - cat. Nice Deal.
What else you got coming down the pipe...... not that you will spill the beans. hints would be nice!
Cheers, Jay.Comment

Nice...I've been helping a friend mod his Rockstar 48 to FE...had some good results on 8S, we will be trying 10S this weekend.
Is this one a stock Rockstar hull, or has it been changed for FE?Grand River Marine Modellers

Wow, I didn't realize until now that this thread was here. Thanks for posting it. I made another post in the Pro Boat Q&A section with some videos.
Hull is the same as the Rockstar 48 with a different canopy and thumb screws instead of twist locks. The interior is based off of the 29 inch hull interior design. Everything can be removed from the hull with the exception of the center rails and the battery trays.
I'll be the first to say that the boat likes more weight. Not properly set up, it can blow backwards very easily. The batteries need to be mounted as far forward as possible, on the battery trays. I've made the strut as adjustable as possible to dial in some negative angle to plant the nose a bit. I like running mine on 8s in each tray with a parallel adapter in to the ESC. Still a handful, but power to weight is narrowed just enough.
I have a few extra hulls. I've been toying with the idea throwing 2, 1500kv 40x82mm, Voracity sample motors in one and see what it does
Let me know if you guys have questions.Rafael Lopez
