Thanks.
Al did a really great job modding it (Under my expert tutelage of course)
Its a 10S2P setup.
Qty 4 Turnigy 5S 5800 maH packs
730 (ish) Kv Proteus motor
CC Ice 200 HV ESC (thanks JMSCARD)
CNC 52mm 3 blade prop.
Strut all the way up and level..
Al's going to be modding the strut to allow for more upward adjustment as next on the prop list to try out is a 54mm.
You are right with your FE version Rafael..it needs weight forward. We are running two of the packs right at the halfway mark on the hull, and the other two are directly in front of those. Originally when we had the packs all at the back, it REALLY aired out and sufferer from a case of the Miss Geico "Wa..Wa" bow bouncing up and down. It also seemed to drift a lot more in the turns. Now it has just a slight hint of the "wa...wa" and carves the turns...with just a bit of drift for entertainment!
I've got to say that this is the first ProBoat hull I've seen that is actually built like a brick shiiittttt house (I mean that as a compliment to ProBoat). Others that I have owned over the years have been a bit flimsy (sorry, but its true)
If your FE version is built like the gas version, it should be pretty durable over the long term.
I'm sure with a few more tweaks here and there, low 60's should be easily obtained...whether we get there before the snow flies is another story.
Our end goal is to have a quick, drivable, T cat for ovals...Grand River Marine Modellers

LMAO!! I'll take the S#|+ brick house comment as a very well deserved compliment. And yes, it's the same hull.
Tony, thanks for the update!Rafael Lopez

John, that Rockstar handles very well on a windy day with chop....that hull has got me thinking of a 8 or 10s setup... interesting prop choices, how is the Ice ESC holding up,temps? This might be a good winter project for me. Thank you for sharing your experiences and setups

When I see it again, Ill grab some pics....basically, look at the interior of the gas rockstar, and its identical, except for the electric motor and missing gas tank..Grand River Marine Modellers

Dougiee..the Ice is bored...
One thing to think about is its a big, heavy boat that is a royal PITA to launch and retrieve. When we toss it on the water, it lands with a "thud/kerplunk" sound that scares away any birds in earshot..not to mention the small tsunami that it causes as well!
Might be better suited for those under 60Grand River Marine Modellers

John, I know what you are talking about, I use to have a Dumas "Dauntless" 50" long and it was a pain in the ass to get to the lake and launch, but the grandkids are there to help the "Old Fart at the Lake" and they would love to see a big wake. It is just a thought for the winter to build, as it appears to be a well constructed hull from all accounts, which is a welcome change for RTR hulls. I was also thinking about a 40" hull to build prior to the ProBoat announcement and as one gets older, the bigger the boat is the the easier it is to see and everyone will give me a wide berth when they see me with my walking stick and thick eyeglassesGood to know the ice was bored, as I like overkill on ESC's.
I will weigh up the pros and cons on a few 37- 40" or larger hulls and make a decision. Thanks again for your feedback.
