Looks like a box of 100 is rather cheap. Like 10 bux shipped.
Usually Jim the water is pretty clean, but every now and then there's a stick or something.
Doesn't take much at 60 mph to knock the rudder up.
It's a 1 1/4" width straight blade rudder. Not exactly small

Yeah Kevin you could be rite about that, but Ide have a hard time believing a stainless bolt would break without causing some damage...
Let me measure the hole.
Any chance you would toda couple in an envelope and send em my way?

Sure, I just need to see what I have, I think I have 3 or 4 in my box. Do me a favor and measure the overall width so I cane make sure it will be long enough, I know I bought some before and they were just a tad short for my speed master setups. Feel free to send me a text later today to remind me.

I was at legg Lake watching father and son tuning on there boats. At the end my time at the lake, they had put both boats on the water . The Tunnel Cat ended up going over bow area of cigarette boat . Just a bit of a chunk out of bow small piece and few marks on Cig . The Tunnel Cat got all the real damage. Strut/ stuff tube / prop / rudder / all of that will need to replaced. And repairs made on transom of Cat and nose on Cig. A break away bolt would save a lot of damage on the Cat.
