Can anyone read the chip number, resistors and draw up a schematic of a pistix?
I can! But I won't :) But...
In case you hadn't heard, we moved the family back closer to where my wife grew up (Iowa) and not far from where my daughter is going to college (Chicago suburbs). I don't have the time to continue to manufacture anything, and there are other things about the move the prevent me from manufacturing and retailing stuff.
I told Steve probably a year ago that I would be releasing the code and artwork for the Victory controls. I just haven't had an opportunity and frankly, it's pretty low on my priority list as nobody has asked for them.
The PiStix is in pretty much the same situation. OK, so now a handful of guys here have asked. My plan was to release the schematics, code, and artwork to the public domain, but somebody is still interested in manufacturing them and I can't do that until their decision is final (which will be after Christmas).
If you can persuade STEVE to order another 500 pieces, it will help push the other guy's decision. :D
It's amazing to me that a gadget I expected to sell 100 of total sold 500 and is still be requested. You can accomplish the same results by doing a little plastic trimming on your trigger (sure, you lose brakes, but does your boat need brakes?!?!).

Screwed in what way most of the ESC's now seem to work just fine with with wheel radios is what I am hearing. Is there a problem with someone want to spend more time with his family and maybe not being able to continue manufacturing because of other circumstances?

$13 adapter or $258.75 ESC...
I don't know about you, but I can't even put $258.75 toward an RTR boat nowadays, let alone just one component. I know there are cheaper ESC's that may not need one, but the point still stands. "It ain't gonna be a $13 ESC that does it."
Oh, and by the way...
I totally understand the whole "spend time with the family" thing. but answer this. What does withholding the release of the schematics to fellow RC hobby enthusiasts have to do with hindering "FAMILY TIME"?

Nada darn thing! It's all about the almighty dollar and the sale of the plans to another body that may want to produce them if we can prove a demand for them.
