Temp is certainly low, but I don't know much about the stock motor's ability to handle bigger props. When you get a 40mm motor, you can go to 45mm if not a 447.

Very nice! I like the "saddle" set up. I like the heatsink in silver!

I tought about this setup, but i wanted a more secure way to hold the batts. Those little silver screws frighten me alot in case of a big crash.

Tlandauer, i'll wait until my props gets in and will do more runs to see what will happenned. And i will also try the same setup with the stock metal prop i have. i will post a vid of the run tonight in this tread.

And for the 40mm can, is there some waterjacket for a T8 1550kv from Tekin?

My order came in yesterday, so i have a 42x55 grimracer and an Octura x442 under hand! i will try the X442 first, the Grimracer prop sleeve it too long for the driveshaft, so i will cut it down to the right size. I aslo received a respond from the Tekin forum about the RX8 Gen2/ 1550vk combo that i want to try in the boat. I asked about the burst ampsof the RX8, and the person answered:'

You won't need burst amps in a boat.
Is it true??? I see references to the burst amps on this forum very often... Does burst amps really matter in a boat setup?

Hi again! I went to run the boat and try some prop swap. I went first with 4s,grimracer 42x55 prop, and recorded a speed of 32.3 mph. Second run i did was on the octura x442, the speed was slower: 29.8 mph. I didn't tri the x442 on 5s, but i did try the grimracer, for a speed of 38.5 mph, but i almost lost the boat on that run... A waterline poped out of the ESC and filled the boat! Lucky me, having my reveiver monted on the top front of if allowed me to save it.

                Here is the 5s run:https://youtu.be/rcVumssihZY
