...I guess one has to look up the motor seperately..........which is not listed on their site. Someone with limited knowledge or is new to RC will find it very difficult to find this info...
Dude that so true!!
When I first started using BL motors couple \ three years ago, I remember looking at all those numbers (especially PB's) and going WTF does all that s**t mean?? I quickly learned the standard stuff like what 3656-1800Kv means; but PB's system kept throwing me - until very recently.
Like many others on this forum, I purchased one of these motors... http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...r-tp-3630-1950 - having new motor in hand I wanted to know what size it is. Went to TP Power's website & learned that 3630 = 36mm dia X 60mm long, 3640 = 36mm X 71mm and so on.
Now check this out... http://www.proboatmodels.com/Product...rodID=DYNM3835 - A3630-1500, could it be?? Also find it interesting that PB now lists that motor in the parts list as though the boat came with it. Oh wait, the Dynamite 1800Kv motor has been disco'ed
Can't speak for anybody else, but my IM31v1 came with this motor... http://www.horizonhobby.com/1800kv-w...iletto-prb4017 - PB "used to" call that motor "A3630"-1800Kv.
The Dynamite 1500 replaced this motor... http://www.horizonhobby.com/a3630-15...-motor-prb3310 - also called A3630-1500Kv which came with the MGv1 and I believe several other models as well.
But I do get your point & completely agree with you, baffle the consumer with BS to the point they don't know up from down
You can thank Traxxas for that...
Spartan runs on 6S, so now everybody & there brother wants to run there boat on 6S - never mind that it will make the motor turn 40K + rpm's. Sad part is... once they get stuck on 6S ya can't get 'em unstuck...
