Did you have to mill it to fit? Looks very difficult to remove the aluminum as it is epoxied to the hull.

That aluminum plate is the culprit of your clearance problems

I still am having issues with clearance. I removed the plate and used double sided Velcro. The canopy still will not close. I guess my next try will be some double sided tape.

Velcro is too thick. Well I guess you found that out

I'm dealing with the same issue with my v3 too, what I ended up doing is shaving off the plastic on the bottom of the esc just enough to get the clearance.

I used double sided take and its almost fits. Ran the boat for the first time yesterday. The original owner kept the prop and left me with a plastic one. Made a few runs on 4s and it broke one of the blades off. Took the stock one off my blackjack and ran it. The boat snakes all over the place. The rear end, brought it back in and the rudder arm is sloppy. I tried tightening it down and didn't do the trick. Looks like its missing a bushing. So I putted it for a few min and was watching for water coming out of the sides. Looks like the water is taking the easiest way out and that's threw the speed controller. Those T's or water splitters are useless. Idk if I should pick up another fin that has a water pickup or just run them threw each other? I tried sing my gps and it would not read anything. Is there something about a cf hull and gps reception? Added a pic of the problem. There is slack under the screw head.

You cannot use a gps in a carbon hull unless you use a fiberglass hatch. You need a detounged x642 or a Prather s220 prop. You may have to buy another rudder setup. Every water connection needs a clamp or a wire tie or you will get a leak.

Thanks, what size rudder would you suggest? I just got two of my props I ordered a octura x442 and a 215 ss. Sharpened and balanced. Sucks about the gps, I was going crazy messing with it. I even went on a small jog to make sure it was working lol!

those props should work well. i might be able to locate you a fiberglass hatch.

this is the rudder setup you need for that boat.

i did not see the rudder listed seperat. the bushings are in the rudder mount bracket anyways...not the rudder. you might be able to make bushings out of brass tubing.

Thanks so much for your help!

Oh, and a fiberglass hatch would be great for tuning purpose.
