...as a newb here and been reading for a month or so and posting just a bit here and other places....and 95% of the threads someone jumps in and preaches high end.

Well... there you go... already you are using words like "preaching" and such... Are you SURE that's what's been happening? Or have people simply been stating what, from their experience, has worked in the past to get the job done?? By translating someone simply providing a workable and tested setup as "preaching high-end", you're already caught up in the rhetoric of those whose posts tend to try to undermine the foundation of FE and fragment our already small community...

These forums, while being excellent ways to gather and find information, are TERRIBLE places to try to COMMUNICATE. If these same converstations were taking place in person, these issues would NOT arrise...

People need to keep that in mind when reading/writing this stuff...

I'm not sure what more can be said on this point, so I'll retreat back to my garage and save my posting time for providing whatever information I may have that could be useful to others in this hobby...

BTW - back on topic, people need to realize that on the Net it is hard to type nice. So much communication is done with expressions and body language that when we are deprived of that, such as we are on the Internet, it becomes easy to misconstrue the meaning of a post.

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt on the Net because, as I said, it is hard to "type nice".

I'm not about to sit back and let someone publically try to discredit the hard work that many here have put forth to promote this hobby by bashing them and spreading false accusations that are baseless and unfounded...

Seven boats to build for this race, 16 hrs. travel approx.$400.00 in gas, another $200.00 for a room. I'll be in the pits charging batteries and servicing boats in between heats. I won't even get a boat wet myself. Why??? To promote Fast Electric racing and shoot the breeze (share ideas) with some of our IC counterparts.

Maybe you can understand why I have a problem with the poison that gets spewed here from time to time.

For the record, I don't look down on anyone for what they run and I have as many Fiegaos as I do Neus.
I do more writing in PMs than I do in open forum, when I can help, I do.

Hey Im in the basement working on my boats as well! Maybe thats it! The Wifes have us cooped up down here and its driving us crazy with all the chemicals Really though, Im surprised no one has brought up me and my crazy antics and worthless advise I Love this Forum and The OSE products site. I would not be soooooo addicted if it were not here. Sorry If I have done anyone wrong in the past however this Forum has grown very much and like all things in life change is a constant..........So they tell me

P.S. The hatred should be kept down. I am a newer member and I don't like to read through some petty scouble for information. I haven't touched my land vehicles this year, I having to much fun w/ boats. Everyone should just chill.
