    It reminds me of older v drives the vibration from the drive shaft would resonate at speeds and when you threw it into the corner it would intensify as the skeg grabbed hold of the water. The aluminum turn fin probably distorts in the corners and thus wont allow the same noise where that piece of steel is holding true and allowing the vibration from the flex shaft to be heard. If nothing else it might throw off the other racers attention as they wonder what the hell is going on.

      Mike - it only makes the noise with the SS fin. I can turn it 'ON' and 'OFF' just by switching fins. Boat is turning well, but I still think your boat zings around the pins better.

      Chris - Maybe I should just learn to love it!

          Yeah, I thought I was pretty cool until last week. Todd lent me one of the Virginia Craftsman fins and it rocked!!!! I have some changes planned.

          the list? Nice. You have to help me. I'm thinking about some mods to the P-boat including diving the sponsons tips down and decreasing the bottom angle of attack. I'm going to build another one this winter.
