Our C numbers are not marketing numbers.. they are REAL C numbers. I was not going down that road.
Yes.. C ratings "are" climbing (very slowly) BUT we choose not to play the numbers game. Give em what works I say.
Most of the time.. you will find that high C punch from your new packs is just that.. new packs…
    Enjoy

Seems to me.. (I need to recheck this) Grimracer packs have the fastest 2S pack in the RC boat world at over 105mph (yep on a single 40C 2S pack). SUPER HP FROM 7Volts I say!

Zonda cat tp4050 2390kv x447 props on 4s. I tried the 4s, 30c packs, I wanted faster. I mentioned about going to 5 and 6s, but u guys said it too much for motor.
PROPER CHOPPER ran TP4090KV in a cheetah cat on 8s, which on the KV chart presented to me was out of the green.

It was not 4090kv on 8s. that would equal over 120,000 rpm........

let me help you out some. the kv and voltage your running is right in line to be on the safe side. however...you can run that on 5s but not for any length of time. be speed passes only. your not going to carve ovals with that hull at 80mph either. i think you think theres some sort of majic pixy dust we can throw you and make it possible....well i apologize, its not.

next, if you want to go faster, get a set of 4050 tp motors in 1730kv and run on 6s each and run a little more pitch.

faster than you are now.......im sure 85+ is possible if you know what your doing...but not around an oval especially with that hull.

And a (slight) reality check : Here's what 78.xx mph looks like on the oval - and you want to come up with a stable FE Cat to finish mill + six laps on the race course at 80+mph ?

(no lipos were harmed in the making of these videos)

What I mean is that cheetah setup. Tp 4060 2040kv. The video on youtube say 8s. Now when I check the chart u sent me. Its out of the green on 8s. I tried to contact u about that setup with no reply back from you. I would like one of our offshore vet racers to explain that to me? U can run it on 8s, which is over 52,000rpm. On the other hand, the smaller can 2390kv cant run on 6s?

Not sure where you got 8s from. He was running twin 4s packs in parallel which still equals 4s but twice the capacity and runtime. If Tony answered every email he got with people asking questions, he'd never have time to do any of his awesome builds or run his boats! More than likely any question you had for him was answered in his build threads. They are worth the read, I learned a few tricks from them.

                            Thanks Bro

I only ran an 8S setup one time - when the UL-1 first came out I accidentally hooked up two 4s packs in series instead of parallel. After punching the throttle I had time to enjoy a nice lakeside lunch before the boat re-entered Earth orbit

Can I use 4517 pitched prop with the 1730kv motors on 6s to do 80+ ? If not which props should I use?
