What were you thinking about doing with it? I'm so on the fence right now about the setup I'm about to just throw the towel in and sell it. I don't understand how a sss 5694 won't do the job. Or a tp 5850? They make tons of power and shouldn't break a sweat pushing this thing and should have plenty of growing room to go faster. I don't need to turn this thing a million rpm to go fast. Big prop. .250 flex shaft. 35k- 38k rpm ought to move it pretty good. I'm not sure what gives? I saw one video of a mono 48" boat with a sss 5694 840kv on 8s and that think was moving pretty good. I think if you stick to a 5684 or the tp 56mm x 70mm or a 4070 you could have a lot of fun with that boat. The 56mm motors do pull some amps though as does my 4070 but, it's tweaked.. Like I said, I've only gone up to 6S and it's pretty frikin fast and I said my batteries had a lot to do with the speed I get from my TP motor.

Travis, I havnt got a Fantasm hull yet. If you do decide to sell let me know bro, then that twin mount would come in handy. I personally would go twin 6S-8S. I think a pair of Neu 1515 2200kv for 6S would be a nice setup because I could use 2 seaking 180a esc's and save a few 100$. A TP or Leo 4074 2000Kv -+ would work too. For 8S I'd go Neu 1521 1477kv or the TP/Leo equivalent with a 8mm shaft. I personally havnt tried any of the TP motors yet, but seen Sean running some in his cheetah and DF with impressive results. To me the Fantasm is an excellent choice for less $$$, fast and ideal twin hull for SAW.

Travis, regardless your choice I know it will be quality build. I do think a 5694 or 5850 could cause you some handling probs with the size props invoved, but I could be way off on that....DJ

I've decided on a neu 1530 or tp 4070 motor. Whichever comes up for a sale first. I think it's going to be a nice challenge trying to get good speed out of this hull with a single built. I'm gonna have to pull some tricks out my sleeve and make it a light, efficient and balanced setup to keep it on the water. I like a challenge!

Travis, I think your making the right choice in motors brother. I hear ya on the challenge, I too like building testing tuning hull, including working my own props. Give me a yell later if you have time..... DJ

I'll be waiting to see how this plays out. I was thinking like you, a big single motor. I have a 56mm leopard motor sitting here on the shelf with the big fc esc.
