I prolly would have used Velcro along with some tape.

Man I'm sorry and I'll probably catch h-ll for this but "prolly" is probably one of the most misspelled words I see on the internet. Ok now I'm done being the spelling police.

How is it misspelled? Is there another way to spell the informal adverb "prolly"?

There's a hole at the center of earth where the rest of the world sinks but i stand still...
side note: got a new gps on the way along with some fiberglass hatches. Now every one of my boats will be able to have a gps in it. I cant wait! i bought a couple more 1800kv pro boat motors and i ordered ceramic bearings (i mentioned something above about it) for the motor i have now. I have no idea how the motor stays together....the end caps are glued on. One little whack with a hammer and it came apart. ill clean the rust off the rotor and windings, put new bearings in it and have another go at it. I just want 50 mph out of it with a smallish prop. (impulse 31 that is)

I sold the impulse. So I have to continue on with a different boat, I'm using my 32" rivercat. It has a 1800kv 1518 castle on 6s. I got a baseline with a x642 today and then sharpened and balanced an m445. The x642 Pulled off 60.7 on my first pass. Then I lowered the strut. No other changes. It then put down a 67.9mph pass. Now time to change props. Next prop was a m445. That pulled 68.7mph. I'll update the first post. I'll order a couple more props but I do have a m645 that will be tested after the m545.

I'm going do some testing on my mini rivercat. I want to point out I've learned something. Just because a prop is faster, does not mean it's the best for the boat (I know you experienced guys know this already!). With the m645, it was faster yes, but the boat did not like it at all. It was all over the place. Hard to control. Just wanted to be to much on top if the water (maybe too much lift?) And waddling from side to side. The other props were much smoother. I must say, the stock prop and the x438 were way more drive able and I could corner it full throttle. I want to continue this thread with my other boats. Mainly just a prop comparison and how each boat feels and likes the prop. Heck, may help someone setting up the same thing. Hopefully I don't lose my gps today because it's getting taped to the top of my mini for testing. I do have a locking tether on it in case it comes off.
On that prop, try cutting back more of the tongue , that should give you some more rpm (top speed ) but keep it stable. Prop stuff is trickery , you need about 5 each, each slightly different for some performance. I test in storage mode for lipos, always at 70% that way I'm getting more consistant idea of what works and doesn't.
