I got the same boat. Know FHH does also from another board.

Just got mine in the water tonight. My first true fast electric.

Impressive, but need a better motor. Didnt have any vibration issue. I took the stock prop off and used the red one from R2's site. Seems to work very well? I also straightened out my square end as good as I could :)

I see your pretty knowledgeable with boats, so I was going to ask what you think of this motor:

Im looking for different props and a new drive dog. About to check out the OFE store here in a second :D I got a whole list of stuff to order one of these days!

The feigao is a better motor than the x-power. The x-power is a rebrand of another Asian motor. Their 380's and 540's are not as efficient as the feigao.

Ok,but as far as size and KV rating it sounds appropriate? If not what motor would you suggest?

I will look into the Feiago brand.

Need to get my motor squared away so I can place my order here at OSE.

If you cant tell Im fairly new.

            Thanks!

Oh ok he owns OSE. I didnt even realize that!

I already got a number of objects in my shopping cart just waiting on word of what motors best. I dont want to spend $50 to find out the motor isnt optimum... And do it all over again :)

follow Steven's advice, use a Feigao motor and if you're on a tight budget, use a X-Power 100A ESC!

oh wow.. I was hoping I didnt have to upgrade the ESC. I have a 60 Amp model.

still waiting to see what motor size to get for sure :)

As far as the Fieago I see the prices are right inline with that E bay one so thats cool. Just the fieago is 10MM shorter, which is about 1/2"... ?

60amp will do it on a 26" hull, I have a 80amp on a 29" but it is really the minimum you need, I'm planning to go for a 100amp because I have no room to play with as I'm pulling around 70-80 today, I'm pretty sure you'll be stuck with this ESC soon!

                        I would follow steven's route and use a 380 10L.

Got back from my second run with the stock setup. Disaster!

The wires even melted... This motor is absolutely terrible for this boat. The boats a great value @ $115, but the motor isnt worth anything, especially dead in the water...

The boat died about 20' off the cliff. I was in a quarry... it was above about 50-70' of cold crystal clear water

Now you can rewind the motor and slap in in a plane!

Ya I dont have a plane... Or a use for that motor.

Its going in the trash, where it belongs in the first place

                              Oh I forgot the movies:

Well the boat looked very stable in the water, a new water cooled motor and it will be quite a runner!
