I ran one of those copy Delta force boats this weekend with the small outrunner motors.
The motor was 2700kv and ran a 3s 2500 pack.
It ran about 27mph with the outrunner but couldn't keep the motor temps below 160 degrees f. Tried a smaller prop, but the results were the same.
I swapped a 10L 380 Feigao and ran 30mph with temps in the 110 area with a water jacket on the motor.
Some thoughts about the hull and hardware.
First the quality of the fiberglass on a scale of 1-10 is about a 7. A few minor imperfections, but better than some of the hulls out there.
The motor, battery tray wooden mounts are a great idea, but only glued in. Mine broke away from the hull after the second run. This mount should be glued with some fiberglass cloth.
The flex shaft is a .150 cable with a squared end at the prop shaft. The prop shaft is 4mm.
The hull handles quite well and turns better than I would have thought without turn fins.
I will try to post video in the next couple of days.
