    Whiplash 20 power questions

    One or the other, Ul-1 2030 kv running 4s 5000mah or Castle 1515 1y running 4s2p 8000mah with a T-180.
From my other hydro I pretty much know what to expect with the spec 2030.
What could I expect in terms of speed AND handling for running ovals with the 1515 setup?
I have both power setups, haven't installed the motor mount or stuffing tube. Speedmaster hardware on the back.
Waiting until I decide what setup to mount the motor so I can set the CG.
Will be a .150 cable for the UL-1 or 3/16 if I go with the 1515.
Those are the only two options I have on the bench at the moment so I'm not interested in Leopard or TP suggestions. Nothing against those motors I'm simply using what I already have on hand.
    Thanks & Cheers
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I have a Neu 1515/1Y in mine, 4s2p 5000 and a H-7 gets me 63mph reliably, but I wish I went for 8000mah, it's kind of heavy, especially in turns. I topped that setup out at 71.7mph with an aggressive prop last season for short runs. Threw a 5s/5000 in yesterday just to see, and I got 70.5mph.

If it's a light build you can use the 2030 Ul-1 motor but, You can't prop much more that a 442 or 642. I'd use the 1515 you don't have to worry about heat as much

I have a whip 20 and have run it in p limited sport hydro and p sport hydro trim. It seems slow and boring with a 2030 after running it with the 1515. Go big or go home!

Yep, think it's going to be the 1515, be my first P hydro. Already have another P-spec boat to beat up on the UL-1's.
I do have one other guy I can run it against, maybe some of the other guys will build P boats when the see the speed.
            Thanks for the info.
            Cheers!
