OP, are you referring to the item I linked above?
If so, I would run away as fast as possible!
I really tried to give Chris a fair shake, but the level of service I received and empty promises only gets you so far. I would look elsewhere for an esc, or anything rc related for that matter.
You have been warned. -

I purchased from FD several years ago, 7 or so. Cant remember anything very bad except he steered me wrong on a motor selection, but I made it work anyway. I'm just wandering about those hi amp esc's. If he wont stand behind anything then I won't do business with him.H&M Supercat S 73mph; Daytona Twin 89.73mph

I'm Just guessing here, but with those ratings I suspect they could be Flier ESCs from China, also known as Alien in the UK and Fightercat in USA.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment

If you like the specs of the fightercat esc, I seriously would look into the modelbaupirate controllers. They are flier escs but are built differently, higher quality fets too I believe.
It would be worth a try.Comment

I tried to buy the 300/400 amp from fine design and after one week I called to see where it was and he said he had gotten a bad batch of ten of them. TOTAL contradiction to what I was told when purchasing at first over the phone. And I also believe these to be Alien system ESC's but who knows.PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash

alien, fightercat, and flier look to all be the same esc's. to me anyway. After all the negative I've read about fine design....I personally wouldnt give him my hard earned $$. Id look into one of the other ones. Personally I like the fightercat esc's (well the 101 anyway). I havent had bad luck with them considering. One, the receiver wire came loose which was my fault which i fixed and its still working fine. Another one I got wet which is my fault also. I have one in my shocker and it works great.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

Not to many seem to be happy with fightercat in the long term, even the guys that wanted and tried to make them work. The modelbaupirate esc's, which are flier are being made to different specs. Lots of guys putting a pounding on them over there but I will be hanging onto my money awhile longer to see how they do.Comment
