My new hull will be here tomorrow. 37" carbon fiber shocker. I can't decide single or twin. I can go either way. I have parts to do a twin or for a single all I need is a motor mount. Here's my thoughts:
Single:
Easier, less parts to fail.
May not be as fast
More run time
I have props and flex shafts
Boat will be lighter
Easier to work on
Twin:
Sounds cool
May be faster
Heavier
Less run time
Don't have props or shafts
More parts to fail
Harder to work on
For the single I planned on a 1527 neu on 6 or 8s with a fightercat 101 esc which will leave me a spare one as I have two.
For the twin I was thinking castle 1515 2200 kv motors. Or tp motors of equal size and kv. If I have an esc fail I'll have to buy two more because I can't get anymore fightercat esc's. That's a big down fall to me for the twin.
What would you do? Give me some insight to this guy's if you don't mind. I'd like at least 80mph out of it. Thx
