I run my mesh nice and snug w/o issue. If its too loose it'll shred ...

I run 2 paper thicknesses on my mesh

That's too loose on Traxxas plastic, they'll chew the teeth right off the drive gears. I run mine as snug as they'll go w/o binding (maybe 1/2 a paper thickness).

Ok I'll try that. That's just the mesh I use to have to run on my old Stampede.

Well got the new years put in and took er out for another run. Love this boat and how she glides through the water. Then I let the gf try it out and she panick hit the throttle right through the weed patch locked the prop up and spun the new gear off the metal retainer. Anything i can do to fix this issue?
