Hi fella1340 thanks for the complement, I have found the gps unit to be very accurate I have tested it with my Garmin unit in my vehicle and also my fathers navman it reads exactly the same. Thanks for pointing that out Martin that I have put it back together with the water jacket on its side the intake nipple is meant to be at the top. I had to seal around my water jacket with R.T.V silicone as I was getting small amounts of water in my boat and as soon as I sealed the water jacket I haven't had a drop of water inside since. I sort of rushed a bit last night to get it back together so I could have a run today after work today but I don't think that's going to happen as I work at the airport and the day I would like to do something after work there is a breakdown that can only be down in a quiet time Yeah I am really blown away with this motor. I have been running brushless SCT Trucks for some time now with my son we are using the trunigy track star gear and they are doing 77kph.

I am thinking I could give my apparition to my son and buy a CF Hull I reckon the wife would maybe let that happen

Well I went out today and ran the 48mm prop and at 3/4 throttle I got 98kph then I smoked my trunigy 180 amp esc. I have looked at OSE 200+ esc but they are all out of stock. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well I am thinking that why I am upgrading my esc maybe I should upgrade to a leopard 2200kv does anyone know if a 3674 will fit? I really would love to get this hull running 70mph or am I dreaming?

HFXguy did an interesting experiment on a high RPM settup in a rivercat
              4s, 2650kv is 44,520rpm (unloaded)
              6s, 1800kv is 45360 rpm (unloaded)

As you have found a 48mm prop on the SK3 on 6s is way to big a prop.

I hate to say it but I'm pretty sure I predicted this in post #6. Listening to most people on this forum will more than likely save you lots of $..

Woah, slow it down there kemosabe' . you may have run gas powered boats for a while but fast electrics are a whole different animal completely different principles apply here. You need to quit being in an all fired up hurry and listen to the advice of others. Then you can read the question and build threads and learn in the process.

You have already flipped you're boat and cracked it from running into the wind, which is a no no, after all; its not an airplane taxing for takeoff (pun intended). Now you smoked your T-180 after you were told that prop was too big, .

Before you go any further, you need to reinforce that hull with cf. The Lil' bit around the stuff tube & battery trays isn't enough for the speeds you want to run. Take a look at Kevin's thread in post #21. You will be much netter off with an 1800kv on 6s, rather than trying to copy the infamous 2200kv on 6s, your just not ready for it. I had the 1800kv setup in my mean machine cat, they're plenty fast on 6s.

Your going to run what whatever you want to run. If you go the next step up in motor the result can be factored quite easily. In post 2 I gave you good advice. Then I mentioned buying another boat for back up. With your next motor choice you should look at buying everything to build a complete second boat. Those hulls will just continue to come apart at those speeds. You know what will happen much sooner than later. It's a good time to build a boat for speed and retire the apparition back to 45-50mph boat so you can continue to enjoy it.

I did read what you guys had wrote . I did go out yesterday and cracked 110khp with a mates esc and yes I am going to retire the apparition for the kids to use, I am looking at purchasing a Daytona CF or river cat CF I believe the Daytona is not very good doing oval racing. My son and I would like to start racing again at our local club both hulls can be used in the open class 6s.

I forgot to add the gps reading.

It does I really like this hull it turns on a dime. That's why I am stuck between the Daytona and the river cat, Before anyone says it I will be in the dog house if I buy the two.
