Ray here is his answer "May have some weight in the left front sponson tip It balances out ok with battery position, you can move the batteries front and back easily."

Did you buy it from Phil Directly or did you rebuild one you bought on the swap shop?

Now, I'm not trying to cause trouble, just asking... This looks like my PTSS and it is the older version that doesn't have a NAMBA legal transom or are my eyes really off again?? I ask because I think I need to mod mine before Michigan for it to be legal. I really don't want to open some bee's nest asking... I guess it doesn't matter if you aren't running a NAMBA race or if it's just club racing etc...

Ray that is old pic of the boat, i just modded it. All youhave to do is grind off the rear air trap rails and add about a 1/8th wedge on each side to make the bottom a bit wider. for the 11 inch sponson width, the bottom should be more than 7.1 inches wide. 65%

Ray you don't need to change yours unless you want (check with Fred or Terry to be 100% sure). The only caveat is you won't be able to submit for any NAMBA heat racing records with it.

            Later,
            Mike

Thanks Jim, Phil and Mike. I'll just leave it as it is for now then. After my spectacular flame outs last year in MI I doubt I'll be able to catch Mike or too many others. I'm in it for the fun, not the records... It would be nice to get in the top 5 finishers though if I work on it enough...
If I get energetic during the repaint I'll make it legal just in case I get lucky or something, LOL...

Any other Rec's on props that will be competitive? Don't really like to push my gear to the edge like to keep everything together and running nice and cool. Boat is coming on Tuesday got to start looking for a couple of props. Definitely running the 1800KV motor.

However, I have successfully campaigned an AquaCraft 1800 in my stealth for more than a year. The boat runs very well with the 1800kv.

This is a video from nearly a year ago, first race of the season. It's the Orange hull that goes way wide at the start, but still jumps LOL

Wow Mike. Your boat was really holding speed in the turns there. Real nice!! I remember that day......I was running the ABC1717 prop and it was choking in the turns.

Don't know anything about grim props or three blade props that might be good

Jim, I had really nice performance with the 447 last time out. Might want to start with the 445 until it's setup.

I'm running the most recent Dynamite 1800 replacement IM31 and BJ29 motor.

I haven't had good luck with the ABC props on this hull.
