You gave me his number awhile back, and I have called him three times in the past week or so, with messages, and No return call yet, not saying he's not up for the work, just haven't heard back yet...I'd like to know a price for a build. ThanksLMT

Talked to Phil this evening, Seems as if he is building up a new 45" Hydro hull for the gasser guys, and can be electric powered as well. Also found out that the next project he is hoping to release, is basically a stretched Stealth thats going to be 36". Figured I'd share up! Went ahead and got an SS45 in cf on order!
Very cool !.NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8sComment

IDK man. You still gotta get around the ML and the Whip. Both pretty solid performers in that class.
I hope Phil addresses the lateral support for FE. We're carrying so much more weight than nitro. If you don't bulkhead the trailing edge of the sponsons all the way across they'll rip themselves apart. I had to do that on the whip. First one ripped in half.
Oh those gas and 36 inch boats should be done but not real soon now that it is boat race season soon.Comment

I've got one of the prototype boats for that Stealth 36 and if the production boat is anything like the one I have it's gonna be pretty badass. I'm still working the bugs out of mine but it's looking pretty good. Here's the last time out, it's still pretty loose !https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hLm...ature=youtu.be

It will be close to the Stealth 30 " design 36 -38 inch long. I will have to pick your brain about the stress you see with the Q sport boats we can make it stay together just fine.Comment

Sorry Phil. I didn't mean to imply that they necessarily would.
Your right about the whip too. Mine absolutely did fall apart. Couple reasons for that. Poor epoxy and a lack of structure. So when I built the replacement, before I skinned it, I made sure there was enough structure in there to not fall apart again. Better epoxy too. This one is a brick crap house. It's 3 years old and been in all kinds of aerobatic displays of poor driving from me.
On yours, a simple piece of structure that would tie your tub to the right side sponson would make it so that we could rail mount the motors with out worrying that the motor weight isn't trying to tweak the whole assembly. Maybe a walnut bulkhead or something. I have seen a couple of them that could have used that.
In case anyone reads it wrong......that does NOT mean I think there is some major issue with Phils boats. His designs are still better than most anything out there.Noisy personComment

Adding a bulkhead across would not be hard to do, the way my boat is built the deck and enginewell in one piece and the foam core epoxy bond between the engine well bottom and the outside skin takes alot of flex out of the hull. There are extra lays of cloth there too.Comment
