    Phil Thomas New Hull.

Talked to Phil this evening, Seems as if he is building up a new 45" Hydro hull for the gasser guys, and can be electric powered as well. Also found out that the next project he is hoping to release, is basically a stretched Stealth thats going to be 36". Figured I'd share up! Went ahead and got an SS45 in cf on order!

Yes. Phil said he has the 45" project already started and should be ready for testing in a few weeks, then he's getting started on the 36" stealth Q sport.

IDK man. You still gotta get around the ML and the Whip. Both pretty solid performers in that class.

I hope Phil addresses the lateral support for FE. We're carrying so much more weight than nitro. If you don't bulkhead the trailing edge of the sponsons all the way across they'll rip themselves apart. I had to do that on the whip. First one ripped in half.

Sounds like I need to get the FE cowling plug done for the GSX480 gas sport hydro!

I don't understand exactly what you mean by this on a Whip 40 Terry? Where should I beef up my Whip 40 while I still can. I'm almost ready to skin it.

I've got one of the prototype boats for that Stealth 36 and if the production boat is anything like the one I have it's gonna be pretty badass. I'm still working the bugs out of mine but it's looking pretty good. Here's the last time out, it's still pretty loose ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hLm...ature=youtu.be

                      Looked good!

You should bring that boat up to Michigan for the Nationals.

Sorry Ray. In order to get my motor where I want it I had to hog out the bulkhead that normally falls across the transoms of the sponsons. So I had a gap across the tub on both the first and second builds. Nature of the beast. There's not much room for stuff. I didn't address it on the first one and the tub eventually ripped apart. On the second I used the motor mount to bridge the gap from rail to rail so it's solid all the way across.

If Phil found a way the tie the right side sponson to the tub where we like to mount our motors to it would be bullet proof. Basically the weight of the motor hangs from the fin itself instead of relying on the layup to hold it all together. We're hurling so much weight into the turns with FE boats. Ever do the math? Yikes. Multiple G's. Suddenly that 15 pound boat weighs a bunch. Structure is our friend.

                        My 2 cents at least.

Jumping in real fast to say, I really wish ML pre built these hulls for people that didnt have the right tools to build a wood kit, then I would defiantly jump on the 335 hydro now.

You might check with Mike but I'm pretty sure he will build it too.
