Thanks also for the picture, for the first time I have an idea about the size difference, it's hard to mentally form a comparison without actually looking at these hulls side by side.
i have daytona, and it is a cool boat but very tight to work in. i have a shocker im building now and would say look into that as well for a viable option.

I forgot about the shocker. Its the same as a daytona but wider, correct?
32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) was
yes same length, just wider and flat ride pads, should handle better and way more room to work in. i like my cf shocker. my first attempt at a boat build was a daytona. kinda wish i started on the shocker first. i have a 27" lynx that i swear is roomier
They are all great boats, but i think i'll keep to my Volantex Atomic, its pretty rapid even running 3s on the limited space on my local pond, cost a fraction of those boats, and costs less for batteries, and handles like its on rails, even better han my ft 012 does.,liked it so much i got 2, one of each color, though the used buy yellow one ,i might change to more powerful motor and esc.

Wow, a 4yr old bump to pimp a Volantex? Probably could have started a new thread for that gem.
Obviously you are far more experienced at "pimping" things than i am, im afraid that within my limited experience and budgets, the Volantex has to suffice for now, the boats here are magnificent and desireable and i in no way am critical of their abilities, in fact i would LOVE a Zonda in the OFFSHORE ELECTRICS color. ,but im not in a position to get one . Nor are my laughable attempts at furniture assembly any confidence builder for contemplating construction projects . So it may be a forlorn hope that i could ever reach the standard of "pimping" you have achieved.

Understood Kenny, and welcome over here to OSE! As long as you have fun with it is all that matters. You'll quickly find and categorize the "pimps" on here if you know what I mean...
Thanks for the support Madracer, i am a regular user of political forums in UK, so im well used to employing literary emasculation to those who attempt to assume delusional intellectuality.thank fully as on here they are in a minority. I enjoy my R.C. boats, and i enjoy seeing the satisfaction other boat fanatics get from theirs i have in my short involvement (and inexperienced naievity) corresponded with enthusiasts from various countries on youtube and forums, and it will take more than a few idiotsyncratic characters to dissuade me from cobtinuing to do so. But my thanks to you and Steven for being patient with me.
