You are getting me a little excited here. I could just about squeeze this build in In time. 78mph? Huh, that is sweet for first go. Leaning on single now. I think this hull would be 'light' in the water. Look forward to the vid.

Finally got my first test run. It was windy 20mph plus but did get one decent run, GPS'D at 78mph running 6S Neu 1515 2200kv T180 642 prop. Boat was running a bit wet and water was rather choppy. Temps all below 100, so propping up a bit and some tuning should get a few more mph. I was very surprised at how nicely it turned to since its such a narrow hull and I hadnt offset the rudder. Again tks guys for advice, I'm really happy with this one, looking forward too todays testing and then setting it up with my 8S Neu 1521 1600kv 240a hydra 230 prop...will try to get vids today..........DJComment

Guys, Im going to use a different gps and radar gun today to make sure of no false readings. We have several SAW boats running close to those speeds and my Genesis did seem a bit faster than them, but I want to make sure! There is alot of guys on here who dont like what we are doing and often post their doubts, so Im trying to be very positive that my results are correct. I was surprised myself at the results of my first test run to be honest. But I had set the boat up as suggested by others with some serious knowledge of how to correctly setup my Genesis for SAW......
Shawn your correct it does run "light" in the water and really handles nicely, it pulls really cool looking boat wheelies toofirst time I hit trigger hard it almost flipped, I was like woot. Get yours done brother, I dont think your going to be dissapointed at all.
Travis pm me your email brother, I will send you those interior pics your wanting of the cheetah. I bet your rivercat is faster than you realize! we found some garmin gecko waterproof gps units on ebay for 25$ they seem to work nicely. But if you have cf top of hatch or hull they dont work inside, you have to mount them on outside of hull.
Urbs0007, 2300kv on 6S is going to be a serious screamer, look forward to hearing more about your results brother. Im not a prop expert, but for that setup Id start with something around a prather 215 and work up watching my heat really closely. Hope your using a good esc because your going to be pulling some serious amps. I need to learn about how to do wire drives, Im planning on eventually doing a rigger with wire drive......DJTunnels-PS295. Cats-H&M M1 Supercat Daytona rivercat. Monos-DF Cyberstorm HiTech 29. You can't worry about what other people think or say. Man I get so many conflicting opinions on things ain't ain't even funny. Some people even post their opinions on stuff they have never even tried. I don't worry about it. What's the worst that's gonna happen if I do something wrong? Burn an esc? Wow. Burn a motor? So what. Catch my whole boat on fire an lose it? Whoopy.... I'd just be mad if I didn't get it on video! Lol.... I can always build another boat. I can always buy another motir, ESC or receiver or batteries. I like buying and building anyway....32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

Those are some nice results, I am putting a genesis together in between doing another build and hearing about your successes with it has me motivated to get it going. I an trying a TP 4050, 2390kv.
(5 d). Going to run it on 4s till I get a handle on things and go from there. Look forward to seeing the video. Any chance of seeing a few pictures? I would be interested in seeing your setup, you may be able to save me some grief setting it up!Comment

Sorry no vids guys I had slipping collet issues today, partially my fault, I cut my new flexshaft a bit short. I need to get a MBP collet for this tuning setup. MBP = no slippage issues. Think I might have it fixed, will test again tomorrow possibly. Need to get this one right so I can put in my 8S setup using a Neu 1521 1600kv Hydra 240a...
Fella1340, my buddy and I really like those TP motors, good deal for the $. I will post some pics for ya tomorrow. Im using a strudder setup withOUT offset rudder, boat handles just fine. CG for me is at 35%...
Travis, I hear ya brother. I just dont want to mistakenly mislead anyone is all. My buddy puffed our first nanotech today, they have outlasted ALL the others we have tried so far by months. Not gonna mention manufacturer names, no need for starting yet another lipo debate on this thread. I can say that for the money the nanotech 65-130c have been a good deal....DJTunnels-PS295. Jeff, pics you requested. Im running a Neu 1515 2200kv T180 6S 2 x 3S 5000mah 65-130c nanotechs 642 prop. Front portion of hull has been reinforced, area in pic will be done when I remove current setup to put in my 8S Neu 1521 1600kv hydra 240A. Jeff I set my lipos so the leading edge is even with leading edge of ESC.......Attached FilesTunnels-PS295. Cats-H&M M1 Supercat Daytona rivercat. Monos-DF Cyberstorm HiTech 29.
