Question regarding AquaCraft ESC ( 60 amp )

I have one that will arm and my only puzzlement is that after I plug in and wait for the first beep, pull the full throttle and release the trigger, it should have 4 beeps , it only beeps 3 times. Other than that I can drive the boat seemingly at a speed that reflects 4s.
Throttle trim and channel settings are all correctly set, no issues there. Is this indicative of some malfunction or I can still use it?
Motor is Proboat Stiletto 1800kv. Boat is an one of kind early TFL Libero round nose. Setup: 4s, Grim 40x52 prop.

      What radio?

We had an issue with some club members using Spektrum radios, and the controller would arm, but it wouldn't be correct. There is a distinct tone you need to listen for...

      Later,
      Mike

From the Revolt manual, you should hear 3 beeps:

            3. Plug the batteries into the motor controller and you’re ready
to arm the system. At this time you will hear one beep. To arm the system, squeeze
the throttle trigger and hold until you hear one more beep.
Release the throttle trigger and you will hear three more beeps.
Your boat is now ready to operate

Thanks guys, this really puts me at ease. Sorry I missed your replies, was at my Mom's and didn't know when she decided to disconnect her internet!
She moved to my place and I use her house as my storage for my fleet

r've had lots of esc's that required pulling the throttle for the arming sequence. I have a 60A turnigy / speaking that I picked up with the AQ 3656 motor. It runs great on my 6000mah 30c 2s bullet packs in 4s series.

The funny thing is the arming or lack therefore of. If my radio is on before the ESC, which it always should be, as soon as I plug the ESC in, it detects the radio, gives 4 beeps & goes hot (arms). The only way to disarm it, is to switch off the radio. If I plug in the ESC before the radio, it gives the no radio detected beep & when I turn on the radio it beeps 4 times, which I assume is 4s since I dot have a program card, & goes hot...

Kinda sucks to not have an arming sequence on this one. I either have to tape up while she's armed or leave the tx off until I am done taping up, meanwhile the power is running while I am taping.....

This is no way to run a boat and there clearly is a problem.

Have you gone through to the process of "Throttle Range Setting Function"? this is outlined starting at the bottom of page 2 into page 3.

I would get this ironed out before running your boat again.

                    Later,
                    Mike

                        Thanks guys, much appreciated

I don't like taping up the hatch while the system is hot or when the system is live and unarmed cause the tx is off. The props aren't spinning but I am very prop wary. The system is wasting power while I am taping which cuts into running time even though I time 4 min. runs.

Thanks for the link Mike. I figured it was a setting I could change after I got a program card. Since its poopy rainy today, I'll go thru resetting the throttle

Wow! Get a push-pull switch which shuts off power to rx so props won't turn. Also light on rx goes off too. You could make a kill switch like the people from Europe require. Let me inquire from those gentlemen of a diagram.

Well I double checked my airtronics m11 to make sure the trims were set at 0° neutral, then went thru the throttle range settings process a dozen times...

Turn on the radio, pull full throttle & hold
While holding throttle, plug in ESC
ESC beeps once, then twice to confirm full throttle is set
Let off the throttle (back t neutral), ESC beeps once to confirm neutral throttle is set, then beeps 4 times for 4 cells confirmed & systems armed.

If I plug in the ESC before turning on the radio, the ESC beeps once (systems check) + 4 more beeps (4s). The servo runs for about 20 seconds then goes quiet. Then I turn on the radio & after 5 seconds the throttle responds.

If I turn on the radio then the ESC, the ESC beeps 1+4 times and goes hot, which is normal according to the turnigy PDF Mark suggested . I just feel safer with an arming sequence ....

My AQ ESC went up in smoke after installing new caps, so I need to pick up another one for my 3674 (2350kv) 4s setup anyway .....

May I ask you what eaxactly you mean by that statement: that you installed a cap bank or you pulled the old one out and replaced a new one, just curious. I put cap banks on many of my Seaking 120A ESCs without any problem, but I am thinking putting one on my AquaCraft ESC, but if it will invite the same result, then I won't bother.
                              Thanks!
