How do you figure say stock out runner transfer to x size in runner ? Ig its the motors options and sizing that the most confusing at this point
Hard to compare an outrunner to in runner by size. The make/build quality/efficiency can be so vast between manufacturers. So much of this is just your best educated guess, and learning from what other people have tried and their results.

I guess I just don't see the point of spending an extra $100 for the hv130 over the proven t-180. Pushing that setup over 6s would likely fail anyway.

Nice work Lenny! That is one strange coupler. Not too sure about soldering or gluing the flex cable to the sleeve, but if its done correctly it sure would be a nice solid connection between the motor and flex. No more grub screws digging into and distorting the flex cable.

Yes I have buddy that love's the HV 130/180A on 6s in his miss Geico,
And some other boat setups he is using them in.
Said it lets everything run nice and cool on 6s in the Geico.

ok so for motor options there is the tp motor or leopard

              tp 4060 in 1130kv
              leopard 4092 in 1050

both motors are the same size can as the het 700 98, given the tp is a little above stock im thinking it will be the tp motor with a t180

              http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...p-4060&cat=181
              http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-83005

should be all i need and a servo from the lhs and should have me under $800 for a boat thats ready to go and runs cooler then the rtr setup

Hey guys, what about the Turnigy T20?

                  http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...arehouse_.html

Looks like a Proteus copy from Hobbyking, was considering it for a 45" mono...might be an option for this?
                  This is NOT a toy?!?
