I thought that looked like a parma hemi. My pal Carl has an original parma coupe, but he needs a motor. I am looking at motor options for my Miss Notre Damn shovelnose. I think it originally had an Allison V12, but I am open to ideas ....

My attempt at a current TOP FUEL HYDRO at 1/10 scale, the hull is 20" long. With 6S, it barely floats on glassy water. I like to run about 200' under power, and depending on the prop, 150' or more to come to a stop, then go pick up boat, no extra driving. So far the best numbers are like 0 to 78mph in 3.8 seconds per my Eagle Tree. I know there is still more in the boat, cause I have never been full throttle yet. It would be awesome to see what someone could do, that knew what they were doing, because I dont know what I am doing and my little boat goes pretty good. There is Very little seat time, but thats drag racing. This video was on 4S, and have since moved up to 6S. http://youtu.be/C65OJSV3vyc

I am not sure how it works but, the Traxxas John Force Funny car has some type of a timing system it uses to run cars side by side. I think it plugs into your phone?.

The Traxxas funny cars do have a timing light system to run scalecdrags, but its a separate system that you have to buy in addition to the funny car. It would be nicer if it was included with the car, or a 2 car purchase. Too bad it can't be used for boats. We just use spotters & GPS units. The sanctioned namba events use actual gates you race thru.

It works off photo eyes just like a real Drag racing timing system.
