Let's hope so, I just got suspicious that all of a sudden it is so much less than before. That "machining" of the fins should not have cost that much. lol...
Too many boats, not enough time...

Ad says 90amps MAX, so it stands to reason this ESC would be better suited for a smaller vehicle using around 50, or 60amps. Give yourself some headroom I say. Looks like they added a cap to the power cord.
Heck, my mini Summit 1:16 has a ESC more robust than this one.
There is no way this ESC could handle the rigors of a 1:8, or even a light weight 1:10 short coarse vehicle, with that motor, not for long anyhow. The Motor, however could! Cheapest price for a finned version is $130.
It is the motor in my BIG Summit, and I have smoked a Mamba Monster v1 120amp with it. This is just my opinions.

I have a 60amp esc and a 4pole 3300kv motor in my Ofna SCT 4x4 and it works great

With a quality, robust 60amp ESC, a low amp 3300kv motor in a FIVE AND A HALF POUND SCT, well umm, yeah that would work.

lets see, my esc is rated for 60amps continuous and only costs about 45bucks, where the Castle is rated for 90amps max Continuous and my motor was 60bucks and not as good as the Castle one posted above
so this new Castle system would be more than enough for any 10th scale SCT truck hands down
not sure why some are hating when they don't have this new Castle system to try out..

i believe it says 90 amp max continuous. so i wouldnt say that is peak amps, just continuous duty.
